Let me introduce myself, my name is Nadja and I’m originally from Uzbekistan but for many moons now I’ve been settled in Bonnie Scotland, where I live with my two wild toddlers, husband and our pup. Art was always an important part of my life and gave me a much needed escape from the hardships of life. Prior to pursuing Art professionally I studied accountancy and worked for a big firm for 5 years. However after having kids and going through several bereavements I decided to pursue what brings most joy into my life, Art.
My work is inspired by the bold strokes of gestural art, aiming to capture the feeling of freedom and levitation through brushstrokes. I utilise the power of colour to infuse a splash of joy into my artwork, offering an escape from the burdens of stress and anxiety that surround us.
The mediums and acrylics I use create texture and intricate layering of the colours forming a network of cells and patterns that take on a life of their own, inviting the viewer to be swept away into the world of imagination.
